The Israeli consumer electronics giant Israelite has announced plans to open a factory in the Israeli port city of Tel Aviv, according to Israeli media reports.
The Oriental Market, which is based in Tel Aviv’s Givat Zeev neighborhood, is the largest Chinese market in the world, according a report in Haaretz.
Israelite is the country’s largest supplier of Chinese-manufactured electronics to Israel, according an industry source, and the company plans to use the factory in Tel.
The news came after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the company’s manufacturing facilities in Israel.
The company is the second largest supplier in the market, with more than 50 percent of its sales coming from Israel, Haaretz reported.
